Terms & Conditions
Effective: January 1, 2025.
These terms govern all rentals, deployments, and services provided by Signal North.
1. Service Overview
Signal North provides temporary and semi-permanent internet connectivity solutions, including Starlink satellite kits, LTE routers, mesh Wi-Fi infrastructure, and related equipment (the “Services”).
By reserving or using our Services you agree to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent.
2. Reservations & Payment
Quotes are valid for 14 days. A signed proposal and 50% deposit are required to confirm a reservation. Remaining balances are due prior to deployment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Cancellations within 7 days of deployment may incur up to 50% of the project total to cover reserved inventory, engineering hours, and logistics.
3. Equipment Use & Liability
All hardware remains the property of Signal North. You are responsible for reasonable care of rented equipment while it is in your custody.
Loss, theft, or damage beyond normal wear will be invoiced at replacement cost. Insurance certificates named to Signal North may be required for on-site deployments.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services for unlawful activity, spam, network abuse, or any activity prohibited by upstream carriers or Starlink’s Acceptable Use Policy.
Signal North may suspend service without refund if usage threatens network stability, violates applicable law, or jeopardizes carrier relationships.
5. Support & Service Levels
Standard rentals include remote support during local business hours and on-call escalation for live events. Dedicated onsite support or 24/7 coverage is available as a separately quoted add-on.
Actual throughput may vary due to weather, obstructions, network congestion, or carrier maintenance. Signal North is not liable for outages outside of our direct control.
6. Data & Privacy
We only collect network telemetry required to monitor uptime, bandwidth, and hardware health. Customer data handling is covered in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for configuring downstream devices, POS systems, and user access portals to meet your compliance obligations.
7. Indemnification & Limitation of Liability
You agree to indemnify and hold Signal North harmless from third-party claims arising from your misuse of the Services or failure to follow deployment guidance.
Signal North’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the Services in the 30 days preceding any claim. We are not responsible for consequential damages such as lost revenue or business interruption.
8. Governing Law & Updates
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hennepin County, Minnesota.
We may update these Terms periodically. The effective date will be posted below. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
